Is Fiers a Faker?

As amazing as Mike Fiers' no hitter against the Dodgers was Friday night, there are some questions. Due to the enhanced camera angles and the ability to zoom in and even pause while watching from home, there is one very distinct angle where Fiers' dominance comes into question.

Look closely. Is it sweat? It's entirely possible, however it probably is not. Sweat is not that noticeable, especially on a dark glove like Fiers'. A foreign substance would stick out like it does in the picture. Most people suspect this to be pine tar, which would help the pitcher with his control, making him out to be more dominant. Pine tar is certainly illegal for pitchers to use, and had Fiers been found using it during the game, he would have been ejected and most likely suspended by the MLB. Did Fiers cheat? Did he ruin the integrity of the game of baseball? Was his team really in a position that they needed this game so badly? Did Fiers need to be dominant to the point where he needed to cheat in order to do that? So many questions.

I'd love to know what you think!
