Trying To End The Drought

With the move now of acquiring David Price from the Detroit Tigers to go along with the addition of Troy Tulowitzki, the Blue Jays look to be in the drivers seat of the American League East. This offense was already on fire, led by AL MVP candidate Josh Donaldson and All Stars Jose Bautista and Russell Martin. To put those three with power house Edwin Encarnacion and the consistent power from Chris Colabello make the blue birds scary. Now the addition of one of the best shortstops in the league, Tulowitzki, the city of Toronto is more ecstatic than ever. Tulowitzki is just the guy this team needed to give them their final piece offensively, however the big problem for Toronto was still a question mark. The pitching staff's ace is R. A. Dickey who this season is 5-10 with an earned run average of 4.27, not something you'd want out of the best pitcher in your staff. But now the Blue Jays have pushed all their chips into the center of the table as they now trade for the lefty and former Cy young winner, David Price. Price this season is 9-4 with an ERA of 2.53, a huge jump from Dickey. Does this hot offense plus these two additions guarantee a playoff spot for the Jays? We will just have to wait and see if they can catch up to the red hot Yankees in the American League East.
