Cueto on the Move

National League Central Teams can relax knowing they won't have to face the dangerous Johnny Cueto. The power RHP has been traded from the scuffling Cincinnati Reds to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for 3 Left Handed Relief Pitchers, Brandon Finnegan, John Lamb, and Cody Reed. Cueto who has a 7-6 record with a 2.62 ERA will be a free agents at the end of the season, making him a "Rent a Pitcher" to help the Royals secure a World Series Title. The Reds will send Finnegan, the key player on the Royals' side of this trade, who will be made into a starter and sent to Triple-A along with John Lamb. Cody Reed will be sent to Double-A.

Who won in this deal?

Both teams. With Cincinnati currently 19 games back in the NL Central and 9 games back in the Wild Card Race, they needed to focus on the future and that's exactly what they did. As for the Royals they recieve a pitcher who has a 2.51 ERA in the past 5 seasons (2nd in MLB).
